What is the Research Consultation?

The Research Consultation is a weekly, free service for all students at the University of Vienna. Whether you are just getting started or have specific questions, we support you in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Key topics

• Library use and borrowing
• Search strategies & literature search (u:search, databases)
• Use of AI research tools
• Reference management (Citavi, Zotero)

You will be advised by:

• Florian Gross (Departmental Library of History)
• Elisabeth Svitil (Departmental Library of Biology)
• Anna Krenn (Teaching Library team)

Consultations on all key topics are available in German and English.

How booking works

1. Select your preferred advisor or subject area below.
2. Choose an available time slot (online or on-site at a subject library).
3. Confirm your booking – you will immediately receive all details by email.
